  2. Make a concerted effort to build your list of email recipients through permission-based actions. Include a sign-up link on all your business emails, website, social media pages, and blog. If you have a brick and mortar, make sure there's a sign-up sheet at the point of sale.
  3. Provide value in your emails by educating your readers on what you do. The emails shouldn't be focused only on selling your products or services.
